The IsoBind Maize Leaf RNA Kit is developed for crop research and plant-health laboratories that need total RNA from maize leaf tissue across vegetative and reproductive stages. It uses a manual silica spin-column format.
Homogenised tissue is lysed before silica binding, followed by the Nova Y and Ultimus wash sequence. This chemistry is designed to reduce starch and phenolic carryover from monocot leaves before the RNA is eluted using pre-heated buffer.
The kit processes maize leaf tissue and related monocot leaf samples. The lyse, bind, wash and elute workflow takes approximately 45 minutes on a standard laboratory centrifuge.
Purified RNA is suitable for RT-qPCR detection of maize pathogens, gene expression analysis, RNA-seq and crop disease surveillance. Local manufacture supports dependable access during field and seasonal testing programmes.
