The IsoBind Compost DNA Kit is designed for environmental and agricultural laboratories that need microbial DNA from inhibitor-rich compost and organic waste matrices. It combines mechanical disruption with manual silica spin-column purification.
Samples are homogenised before PreWash SP treatment and TerraCleanze inhibitor removal. These pre-column steps target humic acids, fulvic acids and phenolics that can suppress PCR, after which the cleared lysate is bound, washed and eluted from the silica membrane.
The kit processes compost, mature compost, green waste and agricultural organic amendments. The workflow takes approximately 45 minutes for 1-24 samples and uses a bead beater plus a standard laboratory centrifuge.
Purified microbial DNA is suitable for 16S rRNA metagenomics, community profiling and compost quality assessment. The kit is manufactured locally for dependable supply and responsive support.
