Built for breeding and seed-testing laboratories, the AmpliMax Large Seed DNA Kit provides a scalable magnetic bead route from mechanically disrupted large seed tissue to analysis-ready genomic DNA.
Samples are homogenised before a 65°C lysis step. Booster Compound supports magnetic bead binding in inhibitor-rich lysates, followed by two wash steps that reduce oils, starch and polysaccharide carryover. The same chemistry can be run on a magnetic stand or transferred to a compatible open automation platform as throughput grows.
The kit is intended for maize, sunflower and other large-kernel crop samples, including high-oil and high-starch seeds. Processing time is platform-dependent, from approximately 20 minutes for the magnetic bead stage to larger automated workflows.
Recovered DNA is suitable for variety registration, pedigree tracking, seed quality screening and genotyping arrays. Local manufacture supports dependable supply for agricultural programmes.
