The IsoBind Blood & Tissue DNA Kit gives clinical, forensic and research laboratories a straightforward manual silica spin-column route to genomic DNA from common blood fractions and soft tissue.
Proteinase K lysis releases the DNA before binding conditions are adjusted for capture on the silica membrane. A precipitation step and two washes reduce haemoglobin, proteins, lipids and other reaction inhibitors, followed by a 50 µL elution.
The kit processes whole blood, buffy coat and plasma, with up to 25 mg soft tissue as a secondary input. The lyse, bind, wash and elute workflow takes approximately 45 minutes on a standard laboratory centrifuge. It is supplied for in vitro diagnostic use.
Purified DNA is suitable for qPCR, STR profiling, SNP genotyping, Sanger sequencing and next generation sequencing. Manufactured to international standards, with reliable local supply.
