The IsoBind FFPE DNA Kit is designed for pathology and molecular laboratories that need usable genomic DNA from archival formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. It combines xylene-free sample preparation with manual silica spin-column purification.
FFPE sections first undergo proprietary deparaffinisation, Proteinase K digestion and a 90°C de-crosslinking step. These stages remove paraffin and partially reverse formalin-induced crosslinks before the DNA is bound to the silica membrane, washed and eluted.
The kit processes 5-10 µm FFPE sections, with core biopsies and cytology blocks as secondary inputs. The complete workflow takes approximately 60 minutes on a standard laboratory centrifuge and is supplied for in vitro diagnostic use.
Purified DNA is suitable for oncology mutation profiling, somatic variant detection, pathogen identification from archival specimens and targeted sequencing. Manufactured to international standards, with fast local access to technical support.
