The IsoBind Universal Pathogen Kit is designed for diagnostic and research laboratories that need a flexible manual silica spin-column workflow for either DNA or RNA from varied clinical matrices.
Dual lysis buffer options allow the workflow to be selected for the target nucleic acid. Booster Compound supports silica binding from complex lysates, while the wash sequence reduces mucus, proteins and lipids that can inhibit PCR and reverse transcription.
The kit processes buffy coat, saliva, sputum, milk and cultured cells, with swabs and respiratory specimens as secondary inputs. The lyse, bind, wash and elute workflow takes approximately 45 minutes on a standard laboratory centrifuge and is supplied for in vitro diagnostic use.
Purified DNA or RNA is suitable for syndromic testing, pathogen profiling, respiratory diagnostics, qPCR and RT-PCR. Responsive local technical support is available for sample-specific workflow selection.
