Developed for breeding, crop research and molecular testing laboratories, the AmpliMax Plant DNA Kit delivers scalable magnetic bead purification from plant leaf, root and stem tissue.
Mechanically disrupted samples undergo a 60°C lysis step before Booster-assisted magnetic capture. Three wash steps reduce common plant-derived contaminants, including polysaccharides, tannins and polyphenols. The chemistry can be processed on a magnetic stand or transferred to compatible open automation platforms.
The manual magnetic bead stage takes approximately 20 minutes after lysis, while automated workflows can be configured for larger batches. The kit is compatible with KingFisher Flex, Hamilton and Beckman platforms.
Purified DNA is suitable for plant genotyping, GMO testing, diversity studies and high-throughput agrigenomics. The open-platform format supports laboratories that need to scale without replacing their existing instrumentation.
