The IsoBind RootRibose RNA Kit is developed for crop research and plant-health laboratories that need a manual silica spin-column workflow for starch-rich root tissues that can overwhelm general plant methods.
Homogenised potato, cassava or sweet potato tissue is treated with Poly Trap before silica binding. This step removes starch and polysaccharides from the lysate, followed by washing and a 50 µL elution to prepare the RNA for enzymatic analysis.
The manual lyse, clear, bind, wash and elute workflow takes approximately 45 minutes for 1-24 samples and requires only a standard laboratory centrifuge.
Purified RNA is suitable for RT-qPCR, RNA-seq and pathogen detection in root crops. Local technical support is available for difficult starch-rich matrices.
