Designed for clinical and research laboratories working with low-titre specimens, the AmpliMax Viral RNA Kit provides magnetic bead purification from plasma, serum, urine, swabs, cell culture supernatant and other biological fluids.
A 200 µL sample is lysed with Proteinase K before Booster-assisted magnetic capture. An isopropanol-supplemented binding step and three washes reduce haemoglobin, proteins, lipids, anticoagulants and other matrix contaminants. The workflow can be run on a magnetic stand or transferred to a compatible open platform.
Typical processing takes approximately 45-60 minutes for 1-96 samples, depending on the setup. Tissue can be processed as a secondary input after an appropriate pre-lysis step. The kit is supplied for in vitro diagnostic use.
