The Isobind Blood and Tissue DNA Kit (IVD) is designed for the isolation of genomic DNA from up to 3 mL of fresh, or frozen whole blood treated with any common anticoagulant such as heparin, EDTA or acid-citrate-dextrose. The procedure completely removes contaminants and enzyme inhibitors and provides a fast, convenient and reliable method of DNA isolation. Red blood cells are selectively lysed and white cells are collected by centrifugation. After lysis of white blood cells, the DNA is bound to a spin column. The wash steps effectively remove contaminants such as hemoglobin and high-quality nucleic acids are eluted. The IsoBind Blood and Tissue DNA Kit is a state-of-the-art In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) device. This kit has the capacity to process up to 100 samples and provides a versatile solution for a wide range of molecular biology applications, including cloning, sequencing, and gene expression studies.
